োর্ড খুবই জরুরি । কিন্তু অনেক সময় কীবোর্ডের বাটন কাজ করে না ।এটার অন্যতম কারন হতে পারে যান্ত্রিক ব্যর্থতা। দেখা যায় একটা কীবোর্ড কেনার কয়েক মাস চলার পর অনেকে এই কীবোর্ড বাটন নিয়ে সমস্যায় পরেন যার কারনে টাইপিং এর গতি তো কমেই সাথে সাথে অনেক সময় যায় কাজ করতে।এর জন্য নতুন কীবোর্ড দরকার হয়ে পরে কিন্তু ওই বাটনের কাজ যদি এই একই কীবোর্ড দিয়ে খুব সহজে করা যায় তাহলে নতুন কীবোর্ড কিনে লাভ কি ? চলুন দেখা যাক কিভাবে কাজটা করতে হয়ঃ
এর জন্য আপনার দরকার হবে নিচের টেবিল টা যাতে প্রত্যেকটা ক্যারেক্টার ও নাম্বারের কিছু কোড দেয়া আছে যাকে বলা হয় আসকি কোড(ASCII)। কম্পিউটার যেহেতু 0 আর 1 ছাড়া কিছু নিয়ে কাজ করতে পারেনা, তাই প্রত্যেকটি বাইটের গঠনকে বিভিন্ন অক্ষর (a-z, A-Z) বিশেষ অক্ষর($, #), ও সংখ্যা (0-9) উপস্থাপন করার জন্য ব্যবহার করা হয় এবং এই বাইটের একেকটা গঠনকে ক্যারেক্টার কোড (Character code) বলে।আসকি হল এক ধরনের ক্যারেক্টার কোড।

যেই বাটনটা নষ্ট / কাজ করছে না তার আসকি কোড দেখে কীবোর্ড থেকে Alt Key চেপে ওইটার আসকি কোড টা কীবোর্ডের ডান পাশের নাম্বার প্যাড থেকে টাইপ করুন। দেখবেন সেই ক্যারেক্টার বা নাম্বার টা বক্সে চলে আসছে।
